やんばるの森とダム湖の美しいコントラストを。
沖縄の「ダム」を巡ってみませんか？

近年にわかに人気となっている旅行のスタイルが
「ダムツーリズム」。

""Infrastructure tourism"" has recently become a popular travel style. It is a journey where you can appreciate the appeal of these colossal structures while enjoying the nature surrounding the man-made lakes.

The northern part of Okinawa Island is the perfect area for this hobby, as nine of the island's eleven reservoirs are concentrated here. Today, we introduce the Kin Dam site, located approximately 30 minutes by car from our hotel.

This facility is a multi-purpose installation that draws from the Okukubi River to supply water across Okinawa.

The area around the water's edge features well-maintained open spaces. The ""History Observation Zone,"" with its expansive green lawns and a restored path from the Ryukyu Kingdom era, is perfect for a stroll. Additionally, there is a free museum on-site where you can learn about the local environment and the engineering of the site. Before you leave, don't forget to stop by the management office on the second floor to collect your ""Dam Card"" for your collection!

Enjoy a casual art workshop.

Our Club Lounge is currently exhibiting artwork inspired by nature in Okinawa’s Yambaru region and created by the art collective YouRuMaru. They will be holding a two-day participatory workshop on Saturday, March 28, and Sunday, March 29.

Participants will create suncatchers. These unique pieces are crafted using traditional Japanese origami techniques. Since the origami sheets come with pre-scored fold lines, even beginners can easily complete the project. The finished suncatchers can be folded into a compact size, and the crystal type can be used as a shade for small LED lanterns.

March 5th marks the official opening of the beach.

With the arrival of March, Okinawa is seeing more warm days. The ocean season is finally here. Kariyushi Beach, located near our hotel, will officially open tomorrow.

How about visiting the earliest ""Azalea Festival"" in Japan?

While the typical blooming season for azaleas is from mid-April to late May, in Okinawa, they reach their peak from early to mid-March.

Located about 45 minutes by car from our hotel, the ""Villagers' Forest Azalea Garden"" in Higashi Village is Okinawa's premier azalea spot, featuring approximately 50,000 plants. Situated on a hill with an ocean view, this expansive garden will host the nation’s earliest ""Azalea Festival"" from March 1 to March 22. During the festival, various events such as traditional performing arts and live music will also take place.

We invite you to visit Yambaru during the height of spring, where 50,000 azaleas bloom in vibrant colors.
